Snapshots of Lugano #2

I woke up this morning in a great mood. That is until I looked at my phone and realized that my class was supposed to start in 10 minutes. So much for that "good" mood. I jumped out out of bed, threw on some clothes and was out the door in under six minutes. Impressive, right?  I thought so, and just as I was patting myself on the back for making it to class on time I rounded a corner on my sprint to North Campus and was greeted with this (above) view. Really Lugano? I knew I shouldn't have, but the sight was so absolutely perfect that I without hesitation gave up on making it to class on time, taking a few photos instead. And I have to say I think it was five minutes well spent, (sorry professor!)

Happy moment (and snapshot) #2: The flowers are finally out! It has been a late spring and I am so happy to finally see my favorite lilac flowers out in full bloom!  But (fun fact) my father is very allergic to lilacs they are one of my favorite flowers. So I love that there is a beautiful lilac bush behind my dorm.

This snapshot was taken on my Friday afternoon grocery run last week. I love this picture because I vividly remember googling "Lugano, Switzerland" last year and seeing an image very similar to this then wondering if I would ever be able to find this street. Good news everyone, you will pass it every time you walk downtown. And it really is beautiful!

Lastly, snapshot #4 was taken just a few hours ago as I was walking up to my dorm room and again I stopped in my tracks to admire the view. I'm not kidding guys, Lugano is beautiful!! FYI the mountain in the background is called Mount San Salvatore (aka San Sal). Provided that I get lots of studying done between now and then, I plan to hike San Sal this Saturday. I will be sure to let you all know how it goes! It has been on my "Lugano Bucketlist" since August! Wow...I just can't believe that I only have 10 more days left in this beautiful place! It is crazy how fast freshmen year has flown by! But that being said, I still have to survive finals weeks...and I have no shortage of work to do so I am signing off for now. Ciao!
